The Ramsey County Attorney’s office Friday charged a St. Paul man with one count of criminal vehicular homicide in connection with the death of 16-year-old Clarisse Grime of St. Paul, WCCO-TV reports.
Carlos Viveros-Colorado is accused of striking Grime with his SUV while she was sitting on a shady patch of grass.
The Pioneer Press reports that the man lost control and ended up about 50 feet down an embankment, killing the Harding High School sophomore. Grime was reportedly sitting under a tree with her boyfriend, Eduardo Vazquez-Torres, 17.
One witness told the Star Tribune that the driver of the SUV bailed out of his vehicle before it traveled further and killed Grime.
