A young woman charged with stealing a sport utility vehicle and trespassing in Fridley has been told by police that she’ll have to meet a simple requirement before she can qualify for bail: give up your name, the Star Tribune reports. The woman was arrested Monday, accused of having broken into an empty house, changing the locks and putting up drapes, the newspaper reports. But she won’t say who she is and initially wouldn’t even let police take a mug shot photo.
She may be linked to a multi-state crime spree involving theft of a motor vehicle and many people’s IDs, according to a police account and court documents, says Fridley Patch, which has been filing updates on the story.
Patch has posted the criminal complaint against her.
