Vice President Joe Biden will make two stops in Minnesota Tuesday. Biden is scheduled to be in Minneapolis at the Depot on Washington Avenue at 12:30 p.m. and in Rochester at the Olmsted County Fairgrounds at 4:30 p.m.
Is Minnesota in play? Not really, says Larry Jacobs of the University of Minnesota Humphrey Institute, KSTP reports. Voters in the state are still leaning toward Obama, and it’s not a toss-up “battleground” state, at least not yet, he says.
RealClearPolitics has some recent poll results in an Obama-Romney matchup in Minnesota, and results show Obama with a lead, although it may have shrunk between May and July.
The New York Times blog, FiveThirtyEight, which tracks election data, also says Minnesota is still highly likely to vote for Obama.
