Riders stranded again on State Fair swings

It’s happened again. For the second time in as many days, the giant swing ride known as The Stratosphere Swing Tower was stuck Friday, KARE 11 and the Star Tribune report.

About two dozen people were stuck for about an hour, the Pioneer Press reports. An electrical fault was to blame, the newspaper says.

The 200-foot-tall ride, making its debut this year at the Minnesota State Fair, also stranded riders Thursday for about 20 minutes.

MPR has images of dangling legs and a worker scaling the tower structure.

KSTP says this is the same ride that stalled twice at the Wisconsin State Fair earlier this month:
