An ultralight aircraft crashed on takeoff into a corn field, the Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office reported. Two people were taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, the Rochester Post Bulletin reports.
It was about a year ago that a Lakeville man died in an ultralight crash in Goodhue County, the newspaper reported.
It was not immediately clear whether both people who were injured were aboard the aircraft. The Experimental Aircraft Association has more info about ultralights, which federal aviation regulations define as a 1-seaters weighing less than 254 pounds. Here’s a look at the aircraft:
