A video posted to YouTube Wednesday has led St. Paul to launch a police brutality investigation. The five-minute video shows an officer standing over a suspect who is on a sidewalk. At 1:15 of the video, the officer delivers a kick to the suspect’s upper chest or neck. (VIDEO WARNING: Video contains profanity.)
Mayor Chris Coleman issued a statement saying that the video raises serious questions and that Police Chief Tom Smith will investigate.

The man being kicked in the video, 30-year-old Eric Ronnell Hightower of St. Paul, was charged for stalking and threatening his ex-girlfriend, the Pioneer Press says.
St. Paul police officer Jesse Zilge was placed on paid administrative leave. Chief Thomas Smith tells the Star Tribune that an expedited investigation will look into what happend from start to finish.
