Higher court re-opens Amy Senser’s request for release

The Minnesota Court of Appeals wants to hear from the Hennepin County Judge that denied Amy Senser’s release during the appeal process, the Star Tribune says. Appellate Judge John Rodenberg ordered a re-hearing that has not yet been scheduled.

Senser is currently serving a 41 month prison sentence after she struck and killed Minneapolis chef Anousone Phanthavong on an interstate off-ramp over a year ago. She is appealing her conviction.
