Specialized training helped save a family pet trapped in a fire at a Richfield home Sunday afternoon, KARE 11 reports. Two small dogs were inside and one perished. But the other dog was revived by firefighters using procedures known as Basic Animal Rescue Training, or BART.
A hundred or more people watched from a parking lot across the street, as crews from nine agencies worked to knock down the fire, KSTP reports.
WCCO has an interview with the longtime resident of the home, who said she heard what sounded like an explosion prior to the fire.
