The Steelworkers union announced a tentative three-year contract with ArcelorMittal Saturday, the Associated Press reports.
MPR News says the deal would cover about 300 workers in Virginia, Minn. and 14,000 nationwide. The tentative contract is subject to ratification by union members.
More than 1,000 workers at United Taconite in Eveleth and Hibbing Taconite agreed to go back to the bargaining table with Cliffs Natural Resources in October. Union workers at Minntac in Mountain Iron and Keetac in Keewatin settled talks with U.S. Steel last weekend.
