Apple officially reveals taller, faster iPhone 5

After months of rumors, Apple debuted the company’s newest smartphone in San Francisco Wednesday afternoon, USA Today reports.

As many expected, the iPhone 5 features a taller screen, improved processor and supports 4G LTE connectivity, MacRumors reports. It is also purportedly the world’s thinnest smartphone and weighs 20 percent lighter than the iPhone 4S.

In the U.S., Apple will start taking pre-orders for the new iPhone 5 on Friday, Sept. 14 and it will be in stores on Sept. 21, Washington Post reports.
