Ranking: Minnesota ‘least miserable’ state

Minnesota is a great place to live, according to a new Bloomberg analysis of 13 factors, including poverty rates, air pollution, people with health care, income equality and employment.

The least miserable, in order: Minnesota, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Vermont, Massachusetts.

The most miserable: Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, South Carolina and Arkansas.

The North Star state has been on similar lists before. Last spring it landed at No. 3 on a 24/7 Wall St. ranking of the “happiest” states.
