Gophers’ Connor Reilly out for season

The Gophers hockey team took a hit on Thursday with the news that freshman forward Connor Reilly slipped and fell over the weekend and suffered a season-ending injury to his knee.

Reilly played junior hockey in the British Columbia Hockey League last year and helped his team to a record-setting 42-game winning streak. He finished seventh in the league in scoring with 87 points.

Reilly, who played high school hockey at the Academy of Holy Angels, was considered Minnesota’s top recruit.
