Vikings, Packers debate sparks street brawl, 1 hospitalized

One man was seriously injured after a street fight broke out in Winona over the weekend. The Winona Daily News says the brawl began after two groups argued about the Vikings and Packers.

Police were called to the street feet involving 50 to 60 people near Franklin St. and King St. just before 1 a.m. Sunday. The crowd scattered when police arrived and the 21-year-old man was found lying in the street, the newspaper reports.

FOX47 reports the man suffers from head injuries and is in critical condition at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester.
