Air France says it will start offering direct flights between the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport and Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris next year, according to a company news release. The seasonal service will run from May 21 to Sept. 1 next year.
“We’ve talked to them several times, and they decided the time is right to start seasonal service,” Brian Peters, assistant director of air service business development for the Metropolitan Airports Commission, told the Star Tribune. “Minneapolis is a large market with a large corporate market and the relationship with Delta helps with connection opportunities.”
The Business Journal notes the new flights are part of a joint venture involving Delta Air Line, the dominant carrier in the Twin Cities, which already offers daily, year-around service between the Twin Cities and Paris.
