Prosecutors to review case of teen killed by arrow

Authorities say the story behind how 16-year-old Spencer Swanson was shot and killed by an arrow two weeks ago isn’t matching up with a police investigation, the Star Tribune reports.

Marsh Halberg, the attorney representing the 16-year-old bow handler, said the arrow ricocheted off the ground before hitting Swanson in a tragic accident.

But Chaska police tell the Star Tribune the evidence doesn’t support the shooter’s story although they don’t believe the teen intended to cause Swanson’s death.

The Carver County Attorney’s Office is reviewing the case for possible charges.
