A woman from West Allis, Wis., claimed a $1 million Powerball prize at the Wisconsin Lottery headquarters in Madison Friday, The Associated Press reported.
Mary Retterath and her husband, Dennis, brought in the winning ticket, which was validated by Lottery officials. After taxes, she received $672,500.
Retterath’s ticket matched all five regular winning numbers, but not the Powerball, in Wednesday’s record $588 million drawing.
A $1 million ticket was also sold in Winona County, but the winner has yet to step forward, the Winona Daily News reported Friday.
Two tickets — one in Missouri and the other in Arizona — matched the winning Powerball numbers.
A couple from Missouri claimed half the prize Friday, and hope to live as normally as possible, The Associated Press reported.
