Packers vs. 49ers: Does Green Bay have a chance?

Don’t have plans for Saturday night? Here’s an idea: Grab some rocks and throw them at your TV when the Packers play the 49ers in the NFC Divisional round of the playoffs.

Green Bay knocked the Christian Ponder-less Vikings out of the playoffs last weekend, and Vikings fans are hoping to see the Green and Gold lose by the bay in San Francisco.

“Title Town” is so over-confident that the team has already prepared a ticket plan if the Packers reach the Super Bowl. Those tickets run about $850 each.

Remember what Michael Rand teaches us — Daunte Culpepper has as many playoff wins at Lambeau Field as Aaron Rodgers does.

Feeling better? No? Well … the Packers are three point underdogs. And as columnist Scott Taylor put it: Green Bay will get drilled” if they don’t contain QB Colin Kaepernick.

Green Bay wide receivers Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb were dinged up by the physically imposing Vikings last week. And just like last week, they say they’ll be ready to play. That means they’ll combine for a lousy four receptions and less than 60 yards … like they had against the Vikes. We refer to performances like those as non-factors.

WE were a combined 2-1 against the Packers and 49ers this season. The Packers were a combined 1-2 against the Vikings and 49ers (Joe Webb game doesn’t count in either case because we are extremely biased and didn’t like the outcome). Obviously, the Vikings were/are/will be the better team.

We’re trying. We really are.

BMTN prediction: 49ers 107 – Packers 3 (late field goal).

If that doesn’t help, this will.
