Top prospects in MLB Draft have Minnesota ties

Kudos to Eric Perkins for pointing out the local talent in Baseball America’s preview of the upcoming MLB Draft.

Four players with ties to Minnesota could hear their names called relatively early during the draft.

Those names are:

47. Tom Windle, left-handed pitcher, University of Minnesota
58. Ryan Boldt, outfielder, Red Wing High School
143. D.J. Snelton, left-handed pitcher, University of Minnesota
202. Logan Shore, right-handed pitcher, Coon Rapids High School

Boldt has committed to play college baseball at Nebraska and Shore is signed to play at Florida.

The draft begins Thursday, June 6.
