Storm chances diminish in metro; forecast clear, dry for Thursday

There’s still a 30 percent chance for scattered thunderstorms in the metro Wednesday, the National Weather Service says, mostly before 5 p.m. There’s a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1 a.m., the weather service says.

Isolated storms in the southeastern metro Wednesday afternoon rumbled eastward, one of them briefly was considered a severe storm, KARE 11 reported.

But it’ll be mostly clear and sunny Thursday and Friday, the weather service says. (Watch storms develop in real time on BringMeTheNews’ Minnesota weather radar page.)

Humidity levels will drop through Wednesday evening, along with the chance of a storm, WCCO reports.

It’ll be less humid with a low of 65 before sunrise Thursday and a high of 85 later in the day in the metro, FOX 9 reports.
