The commemorative artwork for the 2014 Minnesota State Fair was unveiled Wednesday.
Artist Emily Taylor of St. Paul designed the watercolor painting, which is a “playful representation of Minnesota’s people, crops, animals and landmarks” illustrating the people who gather year after year for the Great Minnesota Get Together, according to a news release.
“This has been an amazing experience,” Taylor said in the release. “Having the opportunity to work with such a great group of people in an effort to help preserve the State Fair we know and love is a privilege. I can only hope that this painting will capture for the public what I feel is the essence of the Great Minnesota Get-Together’s community and spirit.”
This year’s painting is the 11th in a series of annual artwork created for the fair.

Taylor’s art will be on display at the Fine Arts Center during the fair, which will run Aug. 21 through Sept. 1. Commemorative art posters and a limited number of signed prints art are available for purchase.
