It’s Day 2 of joint practices between the Vikings and Bengals and The MMQB’s Peter King walked out of the first session on Wednesday very impressed by quarterback Teddy Bridgewater.
“Probably one of the best plays I’ve seen on my camp tour,” King explained to Vikings.com, “Teddy Bridgewater throws a ball 32 yards in the air and it very sweetly just flies over the outstretched hands of Adam Jones – right into (Stefon) Diggs’ hands. And I said, ‘that’s a beautiful throw.'”
“Very impressed with Teddy Bridgewater today,” King added.
Bridgewater was one of the most accurate passers in the NFL last season, but he struggled on his throws 20+ yards down the field, as noted by ESPN’s Bill Barnwell. He completed 87.3 percent of passes 10 yards or shorter, 94.6 percent of throws 10-20 yards and just 36.5 percent of attempts more than 20 yards.
“Teddy Bridgewater played very well last year,” King continued. “And talking to Norv Turner after this practice, obviously he’s having a very good camp. People should be bullish on Teddy Bridgewater.”
King said he’s probably going to write a more in depth piece on Bridgewater in the coming day.
