A Twin Cities cyclist has earned a silver medal in Rio.
Kelly Catlin of Arden Hills represented the U.S. Saturday alongside her three teammates – Sarah Hammer, Chloe Dygert and Jennifer Valente.
The women pedaled to second place and even set a world record in women’s team pursuit.
That happened earlier Saturday when the cyclists circled the Rio Olympic Velodrome in record 4:12.282 time during the first round against Australia.
Minutes later, Great Britain reclaimed its world record finishing with a time of 4:12.152.
In the final round, the U.S. finished 4:12.454, NBC reports. Great Britain broke another record in the final with 4:10.236.
Canada got third place.
