Brian Dozier is an unstoppable force and he keeps hitting homers

Brian Dozier is on a roll and nobody has been able to slow him down. The Twins’ second baseman set a new career high by hitting his 29th homer of the season in a 8-3 loss to the Tigers Tuesday night.

Dozier’s 21 home runs over his last 52 games (10 homers in August) are four more than any other player in baseball, according to Rhett Bollinger.

His 29 homers are the most a Twin has hit since Josh Willingham hit 35 in 2012. And according to the Twins, he’s rolling to the tune of one homer every 10.20 at-bats since June 25.

This isn’t a full season of power, but since June 25 Dozier’s home run clip is on par with the some of the best single-season clips in MLB history.
