For the second time this year, the State Fair has set a new daily attendance record.
An estimated 182,926 went through the State Fair gates on Friday, Sept. 2 – that’s the highest figure in fair history for the second Friday. The previous record was 179,052, and that came back in 2003. You can see the daily attendance figures here.
The State Fair also set a record on the first Friday this year, which came on Aug. 26. That was when they held a #UniteInPurple Prince celebration.
Over the first nine days of this year’s State Fair, about 1,292,015 have attended. And there are still three days to tally, including Saturday and Sunday – which are usually the busiest days of the get-together, and by a fair amount.
The all-time record for total State Fair attendance is 1,824,830, which was set in 2014.
