A 400-foot pop-up pub is opening in Minneapolis Saturday (and only Saturday) to raise money for charity.
Deschutes Brewery, which is based in Oregon, will be setting up in Minneapolis’ Warehouse District.
According to the Facebook event, the Street Pub is family friendly and gives people the chance to try a lot of different beers.
There will be more than 50 taps.
Additionally, the brewery will be pairing beers with different foods made by their own chef as well as some local ones, too.
It’s free to get in and each $5 token will get you one beer.
There will also be a VIP lounge – you need tickets for it, though – where one of the brewers will be leading some “rare beer tastings.”
VIP tickets also include two beer tokens and some Street Pub swag.
Online ticket sales are closed but they will be available at the merch booth.
The event runs from 2-10 p.m. Saturday.
All beer proceeds will benefit Second Harvest Heartland, a local food bank.
Last year, the craft beer pop-up helped raise nearly $80,000 – enough for more than 200,000 meals.
The organization says $1 provides six meals.
Second Harvest Heartland says one in 10 Minnesotans doesn’t have enough food to eat.
