President Obama isn’t ready to join the Carson ‘Wentz wagon’

Congratulations, Carson Wentz. You’re on the President’s radar.

On Tuesday, President Barack Obama mentioned the former North Dakota State quarterback while speaking to fans at a rally in Philadelphia. Wentz was drafted No. 2 overall by the Philadelphia Eagles and he led them to a victory in his first career start on Sunday.

“Some of you may have seen (Vice President) Joe Biden at the Eagles game,” Obama said Tuesday, via NBC Philadelphia. “He told me, ‘Barack, you gotta get on the Wentz wagon. We’ve got a new quarterback. We’ve got hope in Philly.’ I explained to him that I am a Bears fan. We play Philly next Monday night, so I gotta stick with my team. But I do plan to go around Philly and scout out what all the fuss is about.”

Maybe Obama will get on the Wentz wagon after his Bears play the Eagles on Monday Night Football.

As for Vikings fans, root for Wentz to help send the Bears to an 0-2 start to the season.
