It's been a good summer so far for three native Minnesotans on network reality television.

Alan Bernsten, a 19-year-old ballroom dancer from Minnetonka, is now in the top 18 in the Fox competition in "So You Think You Can Dance?" after facing elimination as one of the bottom six vote-getters last week, the Pioneer Press reports. The judges, however, recognized Bernsten's talents and sent him to safety.

Bernsten advanced to the top 20 on the show last month while his older brother, Gene, missed the cut.

The dancer will compete again in a two-hour episode of the show Tuesday at 7 p.m. CT, which airs locally on Fox 9.

Meanwhile, Minneapolis delivery driver Jordan Roots continues to climb on the Fox reality show "MasterChef."

Roots, who advanced into the show's main competition at the end of May, is now in the top 10.

On Wednesday's two-hour episode, Roots and his fellow competitors will have to impress celebrity judge Eva Longoria. The show airs locally on Fox 9 at 7 p.m.

Royalton native Daniel Sutton managed to advance on Monday night's episode of the NBC survival competition "Siberia."

Sutton, who is now in the top 12, will be featured again next Monday night episode, which airs locally on KARE 11 at 9 p.m. CT.
