Chocolate tasting & gift fair

When: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.

Where: All three Mississippi Market co-ops, St. Paul.

What: A pre-Valentine's Day event for couples and families, promising "artisan chocolates, fondue and local gifts."

Ham Lake Snowbowl

When: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday.

Where:153rd Ave in Ham Lake, 1/4 mile east off Highway 65.

What: The north metro city is holding its winter festival that will include a broomball tournament, snow sculpting, an ice fishing contest, fat bike racing, a dog pull, a craft fair, food and rink and a sledding hill.

Wayzata Chilly Open

When: Friday evening, all-day Saturday.

Where: Wayzata Bay, Lake Minnetonka

What: The annual festival features a golf tournament on the frozen lake ice, as well as "snowga," skating, snowkiting and a breakfast buffet and ice bar. Click here for the schedule.

Omnifest at the Science Museum

When: Various showings all weekend, festival runs till Mar. 1.

Where: The Science Museum of Minnesota, St. Paul.

What: The popular film fest has been running the past month and still has a few weeks to go, showing five films on giant, 90-foot screens at various times during the day. Click here for schedule.

Timberwolves vs. Kings

When: 6 p.m., Sunday

Where: Target Center, Minneapolis.

What: The Timberwolves look to bounce back from their heartbreaking buzzer-beating defeat against the Cavs with a somewhat easier game against the Kings. Since the Kings suck, you might find tickets to be more reasonable.

The Surly Masher

When: Noon to 4 p.m., Sunday.

Where: Surly Brewing, 520 Malcolm Avenue SE, Minneapolis.

What: Surly Brewing and Surly Bikes are coming together for the first time for a celebration of winter biking at Surly's destination beerhall. Expect beer, music prices, food trucks and bike demos.
