The Bungalow Tap House, a popular restaurant just northeast of Brainerd, burned down Wednesday morning.
The Emily Fire Department was called to the tap house around 2:45 a.m., and when they got there, the blaze had caused the roof to start to cave in, the Brainerd Dispatch reports.
Roughly 40 firefighters were on the scene, the Brainerd Dispatch says.
It's believed the fire started in the back dining room, before taking over most of the restaurant, the Pine and Lakes Echo Journal reports. The cause is still under investigation.
Chris Spindler has owned the Bungalow for about 20 months, Lakeland Public Television says, and he had been in the process of remodeling.
"We have our busiest two weeks coming up and now it's gone," Spindler said, referring to the Fourth of July and Emily Days, according to the Brainerd Dispatch. "We held on all winter long and those are our biggest selling days."
It's not clear if the restaurant will be rebuilt.
