Adrian Peterson's not-Minnesota home is for sale for $8.5M

Publish date:

Adrian Peterson is selling his home – not in Minnesota (don't take this as a sign Vikings fans), but down in Texas.

The 10,582-square-foot home is in The Woodlands, Texas, north of Houston, according to the listing. Asking price is $8.5 million.

Built in 2004, it's two stories and has a pool, five-car garage, six bedrooms, and eight full bathrooms (plus a handful of half-baths). Oh and all these rooms:

Here's the description from the realtor:

" Gracefully situated on 9 acres, this wooded property backs to a private & tranquil reserve. A gated entry leads to the beautifully appointed Bill Hughes custom home. Built for entertaining, this backyard retreat showcases 1700+ of outdoor living space. Indoors, attention to detail, style & color compliment each other creating luxurious spaces. This majestic home is surrounded by a natural border of trees & professional landscaping."

So you will probably need some help with yard work if you move in.

Why is he selling it?

ESPN's Ben Goessling says the running back opened a gym in a different neighborhood recently, and wants a new home closer to the gymnasium to cut down on the commute time.
