'America's Next Top Model' coming to Minnesota for casting call

If you feel you have what it takes to become "America's Next Top Model," you'll soon have your chance to strut your stuff in St. Louis Park.

The CW network says an open casting call for the Tyra Banks reality TV competition will be held at The Shops at West End's ShowPlace ICON Theatre on Dec. 7.

The casting session runs 1-3 p.m.

The network is looking for female and male participants ages 18 to 27. Females must be taller than 5 feet 6 inches and males taller than 5 feet 10 inches. Additional requirements are listed on the network's website.

Minneapolis model Don Walls was selected to compete in Cycle 20 of the show, which wraps up this week.

According to the blog RealityTVWorld, Walls was eliminated from the competition last month.

In April, Banks made a Minnesota girl's dream come true when the Kids Wish Network arranged a trip for the girl and her family to the "America's Next Top Model" set in Los Angeles.

Banks visited with Hermantown High School graduate Molly McGovern, who spent about eight hours on the set to get a behind-the-scenes look at the show.
