Anchor Joy Lim Nakrin to leave KSTP

KSTP-TV anchor-reporter Joy Lim Nakrin is going home to Boston, the Star Tribune reports.

Nakrin, who has been with the ABC station since 2010, has been hired by Fox affiliate WFXT in Boston, where she will be an anchor, reporter and legal expert for the station.

In addition to broadcasting, Nakrin is a trained attorney. She came to KSTP from Fox affiliate WTIC-TV in Hartford, Conn.

See Nakrin's bio on KSTP's website.

The Star Tribune says Nakrin is the fifth KSTP staffer to depart from the station this year.

Among them is Vineeta Sawkar, who was notified in August 2012 that she would be taken off the anchor desk in May 2013. After leaving the station, Sawkar was hired to host a community affairs show on The CW, and joined the Star Tribune in June as a video host for the paper's website..
