Twin Cities-based chef and "Bizarre Foods America" host Andrew Zimmern is making the best of the freezing Minnesota cold ... by not being here.

The Miami New Times says the James Beard Award-winning TV personality is in Miami this week filming webisodes for his MSN web series "Appetite for Life: DIY Kitchen."

For the series, Zimmern travels the country to find independent culinary craftspeople.

The "Appetite for Life: DIY Kitchen" webisodes in Miami will appear online either late-winter or early-spring, the New Times says.

Zimmern has three stops planned in Miami Wednesday through Friday and is inviting the public to the shoots, the paper says.

Meanwhile, the new season of Zimmern's "Bizarre Foods America" will debut on The Travel Channel Feb. 11.
