Bauhuas Brew Labs launches charity with a limited-release beer

Publish date:

Bauhaus Brew Labs has launched a charitable effort, and is kicking it off with a new beer.

Through On The Haus, the Minneapolis-based brewery aims to foster belonging in the community, and help others.

And as part of its launch, Bauhaus has partnered with Nora Purmort's charity Still Kickin to create a one-time-only beer – Still Kickin Summer Pale Ale.

The beer is made with citrusy Azacca hops, and will be available on a very limited basis at a few Twin Cities liquor stores starting July 25, Bauhaus says.

All profits from the summer ale will go towards Purmort's Still Kickin nonprofit, which she created in honor of her husband, who died of brain cancer in 2014.

Still Kickin works to build a more supportive world by helping humans help humans. The charity uses money from T-shirt sales and monthly events to help support someone "who has something to overcome," the Still Kickin website says.

Bauhaus is holding a beer-filled birthday benefit on July 25 to celebrate Still Kickin's first anniversary. For more information, click here.

And Bauhuas is hoping to team up with more organizations that fit their On The Haus philosophy, and to connect with the community. For more information on how to collaborate with the brewery, click here.
