A friendly BringMeTheNews traffic alert: you might want to avoid driving around downtown Minneapolis on June 19, 2016.

Unless, of course, you've got tickets to the Justin Bieber concert scheduled at Target Center that night.

The Biebs announced his "Purpose" World Tour – which will support his soon-to-be-released album of the same name – on "The Ellen Degeneres Show" Tuesday. So when does it begin?

"This was the only thing I had to remember, and I can't remember," the heartthrob singer told Degeneres when pressed, according to E! Online, which says a graphic provided by "The Ellen Degeneres Show" indicated that the tour will begin March 9, 2016.

The network says it's his first world tour in three years. Tickets will be available for purchase next week.

According to the Sight of Sound, which has published the full concert schedule, Bieber will also swing by the Fargodome the day before the Minneapolis show. More information is available at the website of concert promoter AEG Live.

Speaking of that "Ellen Show" appearance...

It turns out the singing sensation ruffled quite a few feathers with the wardrobe he appeared in – namely his Metallica T-shirt, according to the Star Tribune.

The paper says fans of the pioneering heavy metal band felt he had no business wearing the shirt, with one commenting on social media that “Justin Bieber...on The Ellen Show while wearing a Metallica t shirt is probably the least metal thing to have ever happened.”
