The rumors are all true as, announced yesterday, Director Jon Favreau's live-action remake of Disney's The Lion King will hit theaters with a veritable dream cast. Yes, Beyoncé will be playing Nala, which would probably lead the film to be referred to as "The Lion Queen" had it not already been announced that my former NYU roommate Donald Glover aka Childish Gambino would be playing Simba.

Additionally, the internet is rejoicing with the surprising news that Keegan-Michael Key and Eric André will be playing hyenas, Last Week Tonight's John Oliver will be Zazu, Billy Eichner and Seth Rogan will be Pumba and Timon, and reprising his role from the original animated film, James Earl Jones will continue to be our Mufasa.

The film is set to be released Summer, 2019. Disney's full line-up is here:

While we do think this line-up is tremendous, we do share a bit of skepticism about one alleged casting-choice.

Thankfully, that tweet's a joke.
