Bob Dylan to be featured in 2 Super Bowl ads

Author:

Prince isn't the only Minnesota music legend who will be getting air time this Super Bowl Sunday.

The Star Tribune reports that Bob Dylan will appear in a commercial for Chrysler during the big game, and his 1966 hit "I Want You" will be featured in a Super Bowl spot for Chobani yogurt.

In the latter ad, a bear rummages through a country store for a cup of Chobani yogurt. Dylan's song – which is heard briefly at the beginning of the one-minute spot – starts in earnest about 41 seconds in.

The newspaper says Dylan previously appeared in ads for Victoria's Secret (2004), Apple (2006) and Cadillac (2007).

Meanwhile, FOX, the network airing the Super Bowl, is featuring promotional spots touting Prince's guest appearance on "New Girl." The episode will air after the game.

In one spot, TV blog Zap2it says, Jess (Zooey Deschanel) and Nick (Jake Johnson) find themselves overwhelmed in the presence of the Purple One. Deschanel screams in the spot while Johnson faints.

The show tweeted a photo of the stars with Prince from a second promotional spot that recently started airing.
