Hundreds gathered to play with chalk at Arbor Lake's first annual Chalkfest over the weekend. The street festival in Maple Grove invited professional artists to demonstrate their skills, and included a Family Zone to let everyone get creative. The festival also provided music, food and games.
Twenty-one street artists from around the world competed in the festival, reported KARE11. You can watch KARE11's interview with two of those chalk artists here.
First, second and third place ribbons were awarded to participants in three separate age groups, according to Arbor Lakes. Attendees also had the opportunity to vote on their favorite professional artwork for the People's Choice Award.
