Chanhassen Dinner Theatres is continuing a 25-year tradition by offering free tickets to kids for a summer production, Broadway World reports.

Kids ages 5-17 will receive a dinner and show ticket to "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" at CDT from June 18-Aug. 7 with the purchase of one adult dinner and show ticket, the venue says.

The ticket special is valid for Tuesday and Wednesday performances only.

Some children attending will even have the opportunity to appear in the production from start to finish.

According to CDT president and artistic director Michael Brindisi, two children aged 8-12 will be selected through a lottery process each night and participate in the production , and will be led through "Egypt" by two professional child actors.

"It continues to be a big hit with everyone, especially the kids. Every night it becomes a slightly different show and the kids are the stars," Brindisi said in a press release.
