Burnsville native Laura Osnes is going to need to break out the glass slippers come June 9 for the ball at Radio City Music Hall in New York.

The Star Tribune reports that Osnes, a graduate of Eagan High School, was nominated Tuesday for a Best Actress in a Musical for her performance in the title role of "Rodgers & Hammerstein's Cinderella."

The musical nabbed nine Tony nominations total, including Best Musical Revival. The Cyndi Lauper-scored musical "Kinky Boots" led the nominations with 13.

Osnes, 27, was nominated for a Tony Award last year for Best Actress in a Musical for her performance as Bonnie Parker in Frank Wildhorn's "Bonnie & Clyde ."

The Minnesota singer-actress made her Broadway debut as Sandy in "Grease," after winning NBC's 2006 reality competition “Grease: You’re the One That I Want.”

Osnes stars opposite Seattle native Santino Fontana in the musical. Fontana, who plays The Prince, was a graduate of the inaugural class of the University of Minnesota/Guthrie Theater BFA program.
