Mall of America is getting a City Works – aka a lot more craft beer options

If you like to enjoy a craft beer with your shopping, here's some good news: There'll be a lot more options at the mega mall very soon.

City Works Eatery and Pour House is coming to the Mall of America later this year, the mall announced Wednesday. The restaurant typically features about 50 craft brews on tap, and dedicates at least 25 percent of its taps to local breweries, which it rotates on a continual basis.

City Works is also known for classic American cuisine: bar bites, shareable plates, burgers, salads, entrees and desserts. They'll be open for lunch, happy hour, and dinner, the release says.

The beer lovers' destination will be on level two, at the intersection of the recent expansion and north side of the mall across from Caribou Coffee.

This will be the second City Works location in Minnesota – there's one in downtown Minneapolis on 7th Street and Hennepin Avenue. Additional locations include Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Miami and Frisco, Texas. 

“We fell in love with Minneapolis when we opened our downtown location by Target Center, so we’re thrilled to open in Mall of America,” Angela Zoiss, VP of Marketing for Bottleneck Management said in the release.

Mall of America will be celebrating its 25th birthday in August.
