The Super Bowl of cuteness is just a few weeks away.
Seventy-eight dogs will play in Puppy Bowl XIII, including three dogs with special needs, a news release says. And they're all adoptable – Animal Planet worked with 34 different shelters and rescue groups from 22 states to find players for this year's matchup between Team Fluff and Team Ruff.
Now to the puppies.
Here are our picks for the four dogs that we think will score the most touchdowns and be named MVP (most valuable puppy) of Puppy Bowl XIII:
The 14-week-old Australian Shepherd may be hearing and sign impaired, but I don't think that'll hold him back from leading Team Fluff to victory. Winston is adoptable from Double J. Dog Ranch in Idaho.
Wilma may be small, but this 16-week pug/Shih Tzu mix has the grit you need to to bring home a 'W' for Team Fluff after growing up in the Dirty Jerz. She's available for adoption from New Life Animal Rescue in New Jersey.
This 15-week Parson Russel Terrier mix has the puppy head tilt of dog lover's dreams, which will help him lead Team Ruff to victory. Bo is available for adoption from SPCA LA in California.
Just looking at that tongue, you can tell Archimedes is anxiously waiting kickoff to show off what he's got on the field. He's a 15-week-old otterhound/lab mix who is available for adoption through Green Dogs Unleashed in Virginia.
