Bushel & Peck Cafe excitedly announced the launch of its own food truck this week, following up on a promise to get a mobile kitchen rolling by spring 2017. (OK, they technically missed that goal by like a day, but we're not keeping score.)
This comes about two months after the brick-and-mortar version of the restaurant opened at the museum, replacing the former Mill City Cafe.
The Bushel & Peck food truck will operate in the "Downtown East" area (in other words, the neighborhood the museum's in) and also serve as a "mobile extension" of D'Amico Catering, which runs Bushel & Peck through a partnership with the Minnesota Historical Society.
According to a news release, D'Amico (whose name you might recognize from the eponymous chain of local restaurants, though they operate several eateries under different names as well) plans to use the truck to expand its presence on the Minneapolis food scene. They say it'll be appearing at community events and "other public and private events and locations around town."
What's on the menu?
Great, but what about the actual food? Like its indoor sister, the Bushel & Peck food truck offers Americana with a gourmet twist, so most of the menu is burger-based (though there's also a chili cheese dog and even a grain bowl).
Earlier this year, the Star Tribune described Bushel & Peck's food as "slightly ramped-up versions of classic lunch fare."

The name, by the way, is a nod to the Mill City Farmers Market, which runs year-round at the museum.
