Depeche Mode announces Minnesota State Fair gig
The snow has barely started to melt, but that hasn't stopped longtime synth-pop band Depeche Mode from thinking summer in Minnesota.
WCCO-TV reports Depeche Mode has announced that the Minnesota State Fair is among its stops on its forthcoming Delta Machine World Tour.
The band will play the Great Minnesota Get-Together on Aug. 27, five days after they kick off their tour in Detroit. The group will play one other gig in Chicago before heading to St. Paul.
Depeche Mode's burst onto the music scene 1981 with their single "Just Can't Get Enough." The five-time Grammy nominee's other hits include "Personal Jesus," "Dream On" and "Never Let Me Down Again."
The band's 13th album, "Delta Machine," will be released March 26.
The group is planning a ticket pre-sale April 1-5, with tickets going on sale to the general public on April 6, according to USA Today.
