Whether you're a sweet or savory breakfast person, the brunch items from Wayzata's newest restaurant look totally drool-worthy.

Several media outlets are buzzing about Benedict's Morning Heroes, a breakfast and lunch joint that just opened its doors on Tuesday.

Benedict's is the latest eatery from chef Mike Rakun, who runs Mercy Bar & Dining Room in Minneapolis. Back in March, Rakun told the Star Tribune that downtown Wayzata was in need of a go-to, full service breakfast spot – so he delivered.

The concept: a "spin on the modern diner, a place where good family, friends, and food come together to make breakfast and lunch great. It’s where the food and atmosphere are fun, simple, and approachable, a quintessential breakfast joint in a quintessential lakeside town," the Facebook page says.

There's no menu on the website yet, but there are plenty of yummy-looking photos on the restaurant's Instagram page – showing items like brioche french toast, huevos rancheros, pastries, and chocolate pie.

Of course, there's also eggs benedict, which the Pioneer Press says will be served in seven different varieties, such as classic ham, steak, cubano with house-made arepa, and crab asparagus.

The restaurant also features a full bar, and seating for 144, City Pages says.

Benedict's is open Monday through Sunday, from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

It's tucked into the Promenade of Wayzata, a complex that also houses retail shops and the newly-opened Hotel Landing at 845 Lake St. E.
