Minnesota native Laura Osnes took Outstanding Actress in Musical honors for her title role in "Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella" at the 58th annual Drama Desk Awards in New York Sunday night, the Star Tribune reports.

"Cinderella" also won Drama Desk Awards for Outstanding Orchestrations and Outstanding Costume Design, but lost out to "Pippin" for Outstanding Revival of a Musical or Revue.

Osnes, who was born in Burnsville and graduated from Eagan High School, is also up for a Best Actress in Musical Tony Award, one of "Cinderella's" nine nominations.

It marks the second time Osnes has been nominated for a Tony, following her Best Actress in a Musical nod for "Bonnie and Clyde" in 2012.

The singer-actress made her Broadway debut as Sandy in “Grease,” after winning NBC’s 2006 reality competition “Grease: You’re the One That I Want.”

The Tony Awards ceremony is set for June 9 in New York City.
