An Eagan woman has won Lifetime Fitness' National 90 Day Transformation Challenge after shedding 117 pounds.

Christine "CC" Hodges announced the win on her Facebook page Wednesday morning.

During the challenge, Hodges achieved a 41.90 percent change in body fat. The male winner in the category saw an 83.33 percent change in body fat.

WCCO says Hodges was one of 10,000 participants who originally vied for a $10,000 prize in the contest.

Hodges says she dropped her weight over the past 18 months, but that the majority of it came off in recent months.

She told WCCO that she made the decision to lose weight on Feb. 28, 2012, when she weighed 239 pounds. She joined Lifetime Fitness in February and learned of the company's challenge over the summer.

Hodges says she hired a trainer for 90-day period and went into "beast mode," which included two intense workouts a day. Her regimen included weight lifting and a change in diet, including six high protein meals a day.

Hodges also says she lowered her carbohydrate intake and totally cut out sugar.

She tells WCCO that she will next enter her first-ever bikini contest.
