"Have no fear ... your chicken parm is safe!"
That was the message from Red Rabbit in the Minneapolis North Loop following a blaze affecting its hood vents on Thursday morning.
Describing the fire as a "minor issue" on its Facebook page, the restaurant was eager to clarify that the building is intact and all its staff are safe.
The restaurant will, however, be closed for the rest of Thursday so it can be cleaned up.
Pictures from the scene shared on social media showed staff had to be evacuated while the fire was tackled.
The restaurant directed diners to its sister eatery, Red Cow, which also has a North Loop venue.
Red Cow is in the process of developing a second Red Rabbit location in St. Paul, replacing the recently closed Wild Onion.
