Bunker Hills Golf Club is open for the season – or at least until it gets cold and snowy again.
Still, this is the earliest the Coon Rapids course has ever opened.
According to a news release, the Executive 9 course opened Saturday. And Sunday, the Championship course will be up and running. There's a shotgun start at 10:30 a.m.
Some bad news if you were hoping to get in 18 holes on a 60-degree day: the slots for Sunday have already been booked up, Tim Brovold, an assistant golf professional with Bunker Hills, told GoMN.
The good news: the National Weather Service doesn't have any snow in the forecast in the days to come. So maybe you can get out a little later.
While this is the earliest Bunker Hills has opened 18 holes, the club has had its driving range open since temps hit 40 degrees on January 19 – that's also the earliest in the club's history.
Bunker Hills says the range has been open ever since s0 golfers have had plenty of opportunities to practice their swing already this year.
Bunker Hills also has indoor golf simulators if you’d rather play inside, but reservations for those are required.
