Foul play not suspected in death at WE Fest campground

Becker County law enforcement officials indicated that foul play was not suspected in the death of a Fargo man who was found unresponsive in his camper at one of the campgrounds at WE Fest near Detroit Lakes.

Forum News reported that they were alerted to the scene on Friday at around 11:30 a.m.

WDAY added that police and WE Fest officials are not identifying the campground where the man was found. The station said that a woman who identified herself as a family member found the 49-year-old man and called for help.

Becker County Sheriff Todd Glander said that an autopsy will be performed at Regions Hospital in St. Paul to determine the man's cause of death.

Two men died at the country music festival in 2009, both as the result of natural causes.

Detroit Lakes Online reported that some 45,000 country music fans are expected to attend each day of the three-day event.

The festival concludes on Saturday night with a performance by headliner Blake Shelton.
